Fred – coming from Fuzzy Red – is a sweet, kissy, and lovable member of our kennel. She was from a surprise Pilot x Zelly litter in June 2019 (thus the sneak theme) and would have been the pick puppy if it weren’t for all her extra fuzz. Co-owned with Missy Bigelow and Neele Ammon, Fred’s many virtues led us to keep her in our breeding program.
Due to Missy’s busy work schedule, Fred hasn’t had much opportunity to shine in the performance ring, but she has two young kids to adore and keep her busy – and she absolutely thrives in that role. In 2023, Fred came back to us for her first litter. While the best two puppies ended up being fluffy girls again, our good friend Cindy Curry kept the normal-coated girl, Maggie, who is now training in obedience and agility. The lone boy in the litter was a beautiful half-masked puppy – not our best luck with cosmetics this time around.
Fred definitely passed on her happy-go-lucky temperament, and her puppies are just as sweet and loving as she is. We hope to plan one more litter in the future, as we were very pleased with what she produced aside from all her extra fuzz. Fred continues to be a cherished member of our kennel and a true joy to everyone around her.
